Hi! My name is Nkozi and I go by Kozi (Cozy). I was born and raised in Queens, NYC and I'm a child of immigrants from Trinidad and Tobago. I’m a U.S. Air Force veteran turned photographer who brings a global perspective and a personal touch to every shoot.
Before photography, I graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy and served for several years on active duty, including 2 deployments where I led missions in challenging environments that taught me patience, precision, and the importance of human connection. These are now values that shape how I approach every photo.
I’ve traveled to over 40 countries across six continents, and wherever I go, I make it a point to connect with local photographers to learn new styles and capture different stories. That journey shaped my eye for detail, composition, and emotion and it’s what inspires the way I shoot today.
Photography, to me, is more than just pictures…it’s storytelling. I focus on making people feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely seen in front of the camera. Whether it’s a portrait, an event, or creative content, I pour care and creativity into every shot to make sure the final result feels real, timeless, and true to you.
